Somasunderam quits Browns Board

Shankar Somasundaram has resigned from the Board of Directors of Brown and Company Plc as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 4 December.

He has also resigned from the Board of Browns Investments Plc. Somasunderam acquired controlling interest of the Browns Group of Companies together with his partners in 2005 and was appointed to the Board of the Browns Group of Companies as Deputy Chairman and thereafter Group Director from 1 July 2006.

As at 30 September 2015, he held 3.14 million shares or 4.44% stake in Brown and Company. His stake in Browns Investments is 1.34%
