Speaker Karu Jayasuriya Chief Guest at ceremonial induction of 23rd CA Sri Lanka President

Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya will be the Chief Guest at the ceremonial induction of the 23rd President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), Lasantha Wickremasinghe, which will be held on Tuesday, 26 January. 

Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake and International Federation of Accountants SMP Committee Chairman Dr. Giancarlo Attolini will be the Guests of Honour. 

Wickremasinghe will take over the reins of the institute from Arjuna Herath. 

An FCA, Wickremasinghe functioned as the Vice President during Herath’s tenure prior to his elevation as President of the institute, which spans a history of over 56 years. Wickremasinghe, who has served in the CA Sri Lanka Council since 2006, is a board member of the Confederation of Asian Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and technical advisor to the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). He is a Partner at B.R. De Silva & Co., Chartered Accountants.
