Sri Lanka Apparel Sourcing Association to hold key workshop

The Secretariat of the Apparel Sourcing Association of Sri Lanka will conduct a half day workshop for Merchandisers, QA Staff, and QC Managers, on 24 February from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the BMICH – Restaurant Hall, Bauddaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7.



There are four key areas to focus in achieving professionalism namely knowledge, skills, discipline and leadership which will be covered.

Good attitudes of front liners backed by professional training can attract and retain customers, thereby increasing business of any business organisation especially in the apparel trade in a competitive environment.

Merchandisers, QA staff and QC managers must be prepare themselves to face future challenges in the apparel; industry by setting high standards and delivering excellent services by achieving professionalism namely knowledge, skills, discipline and leadership which will be covered at this seminar.

The facilitators will speak on Disciplines of Merchandising; Thread Education and Stichiology; Knowing your Fabric; Basic introduction to Interlining and Change Management.

This is a subsidised training workshop form the Association (SLASA) as a support for the industry by experienced trainers. This workshop will give them the latest guidelines and techniques to serve their organisations and meet their expectations.
