Sri Lanka Benelux Business Council holds 18th AGM

The Sri Lanka – Benelux Business Council (SLBBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce hosted its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) recently at Board Room of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

Ranee Ratnayeke, Proprietor, A and A International Opticians was elected as the President of the Sri Lanka Benelux Business Council for the period 2011/2012

Nigel Austin, Director of  Nisol Diamonds Ltd and P.M. Abeysekera , Trade Representative of Limako Suiker BV were elected as the Vice presidents  of the Council. The Executive Committee elected comprised Jayantha Panabokke - Mahaweli Reach Hotels Plc, Deepal Jayamanne of   Mercantile Produce Brokers  of   E M B Daniel of  Promising Products Company and Suren Basnayake of Walkers Tours Ltd. Mahen Kariyawasam of Andrew The Travel Co. Ltd and Sajith Wijenayake of Aitken Spense Travels Ltd., Sega Nagendra of Travelserve Ltd will serve the committee in the capacity of Immediate Past President.

Sri Lanka - Benelux Business Council  was formed in April 1992 with a primary objective of promoting  trade,  investment  tourism and services  between Sri Lanka and the Benelux countries ( Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg and to promote mutual understanding and strengthen relationships between Sri Lanka and the Benelux countries.
