Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2014 focuses on surpassing $ 7,000 per capita by 2020

The Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2014, an annual event organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, will be held on 5 and 6 August at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo, under the theme ‘Sri Lanka 2020: Towards Surpassing $ 7,000 Per Capita.’
The upcoming Sri Lanka Economic Summit, which is conducted for the 14th consecutive year since its inauguration in the year 2000, will hold six important sessions, covering a multiple of economic sectors of the country.
‘National Vision: Policy Implementation Perspective’, ‘Rise of Asia as a Trading Bloc: An Opportunity For Sri Lanka’, ‘Lanka’s Future Brands: Need For a Positive Shift in Mindset’, ‘Our vision for Sri Lanka 2020’, ‘Banking in the New world’, ‘Integrating development: Adding value from the regions’, ‘Education: Critical driver of competitive advantage’ and ‘CEOs Forum: Is Lankan Biz environment conducive to Innovation and Growth?’ are the topics that would be addressed during the two day summit.
Over the two days of the summit, several international experts from overseas too will join with local private sector leaders and key government decision makers to share their expertise and identify strategies for Sri Lanka 2020.
The Chamber expects nearly 350 participants for the event, representing the local public and private sector, donor agencies, NGO’s, academies and various other social groups to take part in this two day event.
