Sri Lanka Embassy in UAE sets up Business and Professional Council in Abu Dhabi

Sri Lanka Embassy in the UAE initiated to set up a Business and Professional Council in Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE.  

The main features of the Council are to encourage professionals, business community and assist them in business professions and international trade and business.

There are over 300,000 Sri Lankans employed in the UAE out of whom large numbers are professionals and professionals engaged in business.

The UAE expatriate community serves the country of origin by remitting large sums of money in the host country in their development.  

Recently the Minister of Foreign Trade in UAE Sheikha Lubna visited Sri Lanka  with 18 top class business magnates.  

The business and relations between UAE and Sri Lanka is strengthening day by day.  The main theme of the Sri Lanka Embassy and the Business Council is to promote the image of Sri Lanka, tourism promotion, investment promotion, employment generation and international trade.  

The Independence Day Celebrations will be held at Hotel Hilton, Abu Dhabi on 7 February where the main target will be meeting the Business and International Community and to launch a massive networking campaign.

 Sri Lankan business and professional community are invited to be in Abu Dhabi on 7 February to meet counterparts and their nationals to discuss matters of mutual interest.
