Sri Lanka Foundation Wi-Fi enabled with SLT’s superior Wi-Fi technology

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the integrated telecommunications service provider, in partnership with the Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF), the premier leadership, education and training institution operating under the Presidential Secretariat, announced the launch of the Wi-Fi zone at SLF, powered by SLT that makes it fully Wi-Fi enabled. Thus, visitors to the Foundation can now experience superior high speed uninterrupted internet services from SLT. The official launch ceremony in this regard was recently held at the SLF in the presence of Prof. Ranjith Bandara, the Chairman of SLF and Lalith de Silva, the Group Chief Executive Officer of SLT, who were the guests of honour at this occasion. On any given day, SLF experiences a diverse and varied range of people passing   through its portals. The Wi-Fi solution provided by SLT empowers SLF to function efficiently as an education hub, moving to the next level by facilitating education and learning through ICT. “SLF being Wi-Fi enabled helps us to move closer towards our vision of being a centre of excellence for leadership, education and training by helping us to move with the trends and facilitate education and learning through ICT for all visitors to our venue. SLF reaches a diverse audience, ranging from students to international corporate gatherings and smaller social gatherings. So this opens the door for all these segments to experience ICT at its best and also helps us to enhance the overall experience that we offer to our customers,” commented Prof. Ranjith Bandara, the Chairman of SLF. SLT Group Chief Executive Officer Lalith De Silva said: “This partnership is very important to SLT since this is yet another way in which we can contribute to the knowledge hub of Sri Lanka, by building a Smart Sri Lanka. SLF, being a prime venue, attracts a diverse audience. It helps us to reach these varying segments and provide them with an experience of consistent, uninterrupted high speed internet that SLT has to offer, which ultimately helps to enhance lifestyles of the people in Sri Lanka.” From SLT, Chief Enterprise and Wholesale Officer Kiththi Perera, General Manager Enterprise Sales Janaka Abeysinghe, Deputy General Manager/Government Institutions Laksiri Liyanage and Account Manager/Government Institutions Asanka Shamitha as well as several officers from SLT Services including Chief Executive Officer Prasanna Perera, General Manager Chaminda and Assistant Manager Deshan were present at the event and on behalf of the SLF, Consultant Academic Affairs Samantha Rathnayake and other senior officers were  present.
