Sri Lanka hosts expert seminar on efficient poultry production

                Big Dutchman’s two-day seminar in Colombo recently brought together over 200 farmers and investors from all over the country. A line-up of speakers gave presentations focusing on broiler, breeder and layer management. Topics discussed during the seminar included feeding, production, ventilation system and farm management methods. BD Agriculture Sri Lanka Sales Manager Bhagya Egodage said: “The main focus of this seminar is to educate customers on the different poultry equipment Big Dutchman has to offer, and its functional areas that distinguish us from the others. I believe we have achieved this. Feedback from the participants was excellent.”   Big Dutchman’s ventilation expert, Jens Koldehoff, stressed the importance of keeping a stable temperature in the poultry house, thus maximising production, whereas Asia Vice President of Sales Alfred Tan provided knowledge on poultry farm management. BD Agriculture Thailand Managing Director Jeroen Kremers said: “Big Dutchman believes that information sharing on poultry production is beneficial to business. This seminar has provided our customers with a greater picture on Big Dutchman’s poultry equipment and its functions.” Major market players such as Bairaha, CGE, JF Chicken, JP Group, Pussalla, Switz Lanka and other broiler breeder farmers also participated in the seminar and were pleased with the arrangement of this fruitful event.   JP Group of Companies CEO K.V.
