Srilankan Airlines, official airline for HRM Awards 2012

SriLankan Airlines partnered with the Association of Human Resource Professionals, Sri Lanka as their official career for HRM Awards 2012. This sponsorship would facilitate the passage of all evaluators and judges and visitors for the event from overseas.

“Srilankan Airlines decision to partner this event stems from their corporate philosophy of supporting national events of importance as the national carrier of the country,” stated Srilankan Chief Marketing Officer G.T Jayaseelan.

Srilankan Airlines Head of Human Resources Pradeepa Kekulawala stated that this patronage in particular signifies Srilankan’s belief in investing in and developing human capital in organisations for corporate success. “We are glad therefore to support any endeavour to recognise and accolade best practitioners of human capital development” he added. Senior Manager Corporate Communications Ranjith Silva was instrumental in putting together the benefit package.

Association of Human Resource Professionals President Gayathri Chakravarthy on behalf of the association expressed her gratitude to Sri Lankan Airlines for extending their support for the “The HRM Awards 2012” that is being organised for the fifth successful occasion.  “We are privileged to have our National Career Sri Lankan Airlines on board for this years’ event. Our Association is dedicated in serving the HR Profession in Sri Lanka. The HR Awards which is held once in two years is our flagship event and it also could be referred as the only HRM Awards held for the corporate sector in Sri Lanka that promotes, recognises and rewards exemplary and innovative HR best practices. The awards also facilitates as a tool for the participating organisations to benchmark their HR practices and procedures with internationally accepted best HR norms and processes. HRM Awards which commenced in 2002 has come a long way with many improvements and developments and HRM Awards 2012 has created many firsts with the largest number of private and public sector organisations registering for the awards. We are proud of our achievements and the acceptance in the corporate world. We wouldn’t have been able to come this far in our journey if it is not for the commitment dedication and the passion of all our members most of them who are senior HR Professionals who are being steered by our vision ‘Take HR to the forefront.’
