Sritrims opens operations office in Cambodia

Sritrims (Far East) Ltd., a 100% Sri Lankan organisation manufacturing garment fashion accessories for the global apparel trade, recently opened an operations office in Cambodia, while participating in the garment fashion exhibition held in that country.

Sritrims (Far East) was established in the year 1996 and its operations offices are established in India, Pakistan, Turkey, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.  

Speaking about the opening of the Cambodian operations office, Managing Director of Sritrims (Far East) Nishantha Delgoda, said: “We opened an operations office in Cambodia as a step in our search for developing markets. Until recently the attention of the global apparel industry was focused on Bangladesh. But now the attention of the garment fashion trade is gradually turning towards Cambodia and Myanmar because of the availability of cheap labour in these countries. Taking this trend into consideration, we opened an operations office in Cambodia.

“Business diversification and identifying new markets have become crucial to maintain business profitability because of the existing world economic recession. Sritrims (Far East) started business in Turkey in the year 2008 due to the world economic recession existing at that time. That move enabled us to move ahead of the other organisations in the world garment fashion trade and exist in business.”

Sritrims (Far East) manufactures buttons, eyelets, grommets, rivets, hook and bars and metal plates in alloy and brass and all varieties of belts such as webbing, braided, plattered, leather, PU, wax coated and canvass, conforming to international standards at their factory located in China. These products are purchased by buyers from well-known organisations in the global apparel industry.

Sritrims (Far East) is a sister company of Speed Water Systems (Pvt) Ltd. Speed Water Systems, established in the year 2003, markets high quality, hygienically bottled natural drinking water purified using the most technologically advanced methods in the world under the brand name ‘Speed,’ island wide.
