Stylish Garments goes for modernisation and expansion

Stylish Garments Group of Companies who weathered all varieties of problems in the garments industrial field has emerged victorious and is now girding itself to modernise their factory complex and broaden their functions.

“Under this modernisation program new generation machinery as well as state-of-the-art technologies and production strategies are to be infused in creating a higher number of employment in establishing factories a-new. The final aim of this exercise is to up-grade the standards and quality of products while increasing the production capacities of the Stylish Garments Group of factories,” Stylish Garments Managing Director Chaminda P. It is scheduled to inaugurate a new modern factory at Udahamulla, Padukka in which the latest machinery, technologies and production facilities will come in to force.

Kalpage said Stylish Garments Group of Companies has won acclaim as the entity that pays the highest salaries amongst the garment industries in the South East Asian sector and is known for its administrative strategies of protecting the women workers’ rights including not assigning them night duties in following the workers’ charter to the letter as well as for its environment-friendly practices especially.

Every employee of Stylish Garments Group in addition to their basic salary, receive extra payments such as attendance bonuses and other incentives, twice-yearly bonuses, an instant interest-free loan for wedding or an emergency, timely payment of EPF and ETF instalments as well as providing a cash grant of Rs. 50,000 for each and every employee who serves the company an unbroken five-year long service, no sooner he achieves that land-mark.
