Sri Lanka’s diversified conglomerate Sunshine Holdings, celebrating its 50th year of responsible entrepreneurship, for the third consecutive year will support the country’s premier economic forum, the Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2017.

The summit, hosted annually by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), will be held on 25 and 26 July and will promote dialogue on the circumstances shaping the current business landscape of Sri Lanka.

As the platinum sponsor, brand Sunshine will be part of Sri Lanka’s growth story by promoting deliberation and discussion on how innovation across diverse sectors can be harnessed to create a positive impact. The Economic Summit brings thought leaders across many spheres – including top economists, foreign and local private sector celebrities, professionals and leading public sector figures - onto one platform to deliberate on and explore solutions on the country’s key economic issues.

Group Managing Director Vish Govindasamy, speaking on the sponsorship, said: “As we at Sunshine celebrate our 50th anniversary and 50 years of responsible entrepreneurship, it is our privilege to be powering a forum that serves as a vital platform in bringing together policymakers, corporates, entrepreneurs, local and foreign academics to shed light on things that matter, with a view to strengthening business opportunities and driving a new wave of responsible economic growth.

“It is for these reasons that Sunshine extends its fullest support to the Sri Lanka Economic Summit and we look forward to this year’s event with great anticipation.”

Contributing towards the intellectual discourse, Sunshine Holdings’ Group Managing Director Vish Govindasamy will be part of a panel discussion on the ‘Transformative Opportunity for Sri Lanka’.
