Sunshine opens Healthguard outlet at Thalawathugoda

Sunshine Holdings Group’s new Healthguard pharmacy in Thalawathugoda was recently declared open by VishGovindasamy, Group Managing Director of Sunshine Holdings PLC.

The newly established Healthguard pharmaceutical outlet is the 16th of the well- known chain of pharmacies which focuses on pharmaceutical wellness, beauty and personal care products.

The Healthguard chain is 100% owned  by SBL, the healthcare cluster of Sunshine Holdings PLC, a blue-chip company with interest in several key sectors of Sri Lankan business including agriculture, FMCG, renewable energy, consumer packaging, and travels.

The opening ceremony of Healthguard, Thalawatugoda was graced by Managing Director of Sunshine Holdings, ShyamSathasivam, Director of Sunshine Holdings and head of SBL, along with several other company officials and dignitaries.  

The aim of Healthguard is to set a benchmark in healthcare retailing in the country while creating more and more one stop shops for pharmaceuticals, wellness and personal needs.

Plans are underway for further expansion of the chain and there will be a number of Healthguard outlets located in several key cities across the island in the near future.

Beginning with the healthcare business in 1967, the Sunshine Holdings group has built strong businesses over the last 45 years and is a diversified conglomerate with interests in Healthcare, Plantations, FMCG, Packaging, Tourism and Power and has established itself as a strong market leader in their respective fields of operation. The Group’s Healthguard chain which it intends taking island wide, strongly promotes the concept of ‘Pharmacy Wellness and Beauty’.
