Taiwan Textile Fair for the second time in Colombo

The Taiwan Textile Fair 2013 was declared open on 26 November 2013 at the Taj Samudra, Colombo. The exhibition which will be held for the second consecutive time in Colombo is organised by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) with its representative agency Worldex India Exhibition and Promotion Ltd. Export Development Board Chairman Bandula Egodage who grace the occasion as chief guest said Taiwan textile industry has gained reputation for its manufacturing excellence. “Apparel producers in Sri Lanka can use the superior quality Taiwanese yarn, fabric and other materials to produce high quality textiles.” Melissa Wang from Taiwan Textile Federation said: “We are pleased with the response received in 2012 and we are looking forward more Sri Lankan apparel manufacturers will visit the exhibition.” Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters Association (SLAEA) Chairman Yohan Lawrence said that this is a perfect opportunity for Sri Lankan textile producers to source superior, exclusive and unique fabrics and yarns from Taiwanese producers. He added that small and medium enterprises in Sri Lanka will reap the benefits of this opportunity. The Taiwan Textile Fair 2013 will be open for public on 26 and 27 November.
