TMI Solutions expands presence in Asia with entry into Malaysia

One of Sri Lanka’s fastest growing medical equipment trading companies TMI Solutions Ltd, the sole agents for Nihon Kohden Corporations Japan, extended its Asian presence with yet another giant step by venturing into Malaysia. 

At present TMI Solutions Ltd. represents Nihon Kohden Corporation in Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Nepal on an exclusive basis. Nihon Kohden Corporation has been able to increase its South Asian business significantly after TMI Solutions took over the operations in the above markets. TMI’s “education-based” marketing strategy has helped improve the knowledge of many clinicians and nurses in all the markets they represent. The vast improvements in after-sales services have helped many hospitals prolong the lifetime of Nihon Kohden-made medical devices which have made them the most efficient and cost-effective medical equipment in the region. 

TMI’s partner in Malaysia is LKL Advance Metaltech SDN BHD, which is a world-leading hospital furniture equipment manufacturer. Together with LKL, TMI formed a joint venture named TMI Medik Group SDN BHD to execute Nihon Kohden distribution on an exclusive basis in Malaysia. 

The two partners hope to use the experience of TMI in re-launching the Nihon Kohden brand in three markets and the strength of LKL’s distribution channel and strong sales team in Malaysia will help make this a successful business venture.

Since taking over the distribution of Nihon Kohden Corporation in 2014, TMI Solutions has won the awards of ‘Best new distributor 2014’, ‘Best sales growth patient monitoring systems 2015’, ‘Best sales growth cardiology 2015’, ‘Best sales growth neurology 2015’, ‘Rising star award for in vitro diagnostics sales 2015’.
