Durable, the leading European office products brand and the inventor of the time-honoured Duraclip has entered the Sri Lankan market in partnership with Thef:;llstop, the country’s foremost supplier of branded stationery. A heritage brand whose origins date back to 1920, Durable patented the Duraclip folder in 1959 as a solution for filing documents without punching holes in them and has since grown into a global brand for innovative filing, mounting, storage and signage products. The appointment of Thef:;llstop as an authorised distributor will see some of Durable’s signature products including the Duraclip – which has won multiple international design awards and since 2003 has carried a five year warranty – being retailed in Sri Lanka, bringing a new level of sophistication and innovation to the office products market.     Other products that will initially become available are Durable’s famous Magaframe – versatile magnetic frames for mounting and displaying information materials, and high quality name badges, table name placeholders and security pass holders, the company said. “Durable is a top notch brand for the discerning customer segment and a fabulous addition to our brand portfolio,” said Thef:;llstop Director Nadisha Sirisena. “These products will satisfy an existing need in the corporate sector for world-class filing, display and organising products that help build the image of their users.” She said Durable offers niche products to solve problems and is renowned for its high quality standards, reliability, easy handling and eye-catching functional designs. Durable products have won more than 30 international design awards over the past 15 years. The original Duraclip patented in 1959 leads the global clip folder market and is the most successful business folder worldwide. Its guaranteed special steel clip grips documents securely without damaging them by punching. The product is available in numerous colours and wide variations for different applications.     The Magaframe, a magnetic frame for information materials, won prestigious design awards in 2011, such as Red Dot design and iF design awards. Users simply peel off the protective paper and apply the self-adhesive back of the frame to smooth, solid surfaces such as doors, windows or filing cabinets. The magnetic seal firmly holds literature in place and inserts are quick and easy to update. If applied to glass doors and windows, the information can be read from both sides. “This is an exciting product that can have many applications,” Sirisena said. “It can be used at concerts or conventions and even in restaurants to display menus. The information can be changed as often as the user likes, and the Magaframe can also be repositioned with ease. This is just one of an extensive portfolio of Durable products that Thef:;llstop now has access to.”     Founded by Karl Hunke and Wilhelm Jochheim in Iserlohn, Germany 94 years ago, Durable Hunke & Jochheim GmbH & Co. KG is one of Europe’s largest privately-owned manufacturers of office products. The company has built a reputation for industry leadership in customer service, innovative product development and high quality manufacturing. Its products are distributed in more than 80 counties worldwide. The leading distributor of branded stationery and office products in Sri Lanka, Thef:;llstop serves as a platform to launch new products and improve the image of the brands it represents. These products are retailed via leading supermarkets, stationers and bookshops and at the company’s showroom at Crescat. Besides Durable, Thef:;llstop brand portfolio includes Esselte of Sweden, Leitz of Germany, Maped of France, Maruman of Japan, Colorcraft of Hong Kong, and Acron of India.
