Tradesmann appointed sole distributor for ‘Triangle tyres’

Tradesmann SL (Pvt) Ltd was recently appointed as the sole distributor for Triangle tyres in Sri Lanka. With an investment of over Rs. 50 million made into this venture, Tradesmann’s sole distributorship of Triangle Group Co., Ltd’s tyres came into effect this month.

“Being appointed the agent for Triangle’s tyres is certainly an honour. Tradesmann was an agent for Triangle’s tyres from 2004 to 2009, and we have renewed this relationship and are very proud of it. Triangle tyres are the best in the market, and now that it’s back in the market; this makes it the top product available,” said Wijethunga Commercial Manager - Tyres, Tradesmann.

Under the sole distributorship, Tradesmann will be selling a variety of Triangle’s tyres including passenger vehicle radial tyres, dual purpose vehicle radial tyres and commercial vehicle radial tyres.

“When Tradesmann took on the Triangle brand in 2004, the brand was barely recognized in the local market. Triangle also didn’t have a stable agent to promote the brand. Once we took over, we took huge efforts to make it the number one tyre in the market, and we were successful. We had to discontinue being the agent for Triangle in Sri Lanka due to their open market policies introduced in 2009; however Triangle is back with Tradesmann and we are extremely delighted,” stated Tharanga Witharana, Tradesmann’s Brand Manager for Tyres.

Commenting further, Wijethiunga said, “With the entry of Triangle tyres into the local market, consumers will be able to purchase tyres that are renowned for their superior quality and comfort. Buying the right tyres is one of the topmost safety features of any vehicle; tyres are also vital towards the performance of the vehicle. Using a trusted brand of tyre such as Triangle is definitely a wise choice.”

Apart from Triangle, Tradesmann is also the distributor for Durun tyres, Maxtrek tyre, Safe holder tyre, Sportrak tyre, Permanent tyre, Modi tyre and BKT tyre.

Founded in 1956, Tradesmann counts over 50 years in the manufacturing, trading and distribution sectors.

The company has one of the largest distribution networks in the country and is well-recognized for its unique door-to-door service.

Triangle Group Co., Ltd, initially built in 1976 counts more than three decades of experience in tyre manufacturing. The company’s major products include a wide variety of tyres ranging from passenger tyres and light-truck tyres, truck and bus radial tyres to OTR (off-the-road) tyres. Triangle’s annual tyre capacity lies at over 28 million units, while radial tires is more than 24 million units. The company’s annual rubber mixing capacity is over 500,000 tons; tire rebuilding capacity is over 500,000 units.
