Trans World Movers completes 40 years of serving British High Commission

Trans World Movers Ltd., one of premier packing and moving companies in Sri Lanka, this year completes 40 unbroken years in serving the British High Commission. 

Hence considering the 40 years of association with the British High Commission coupled up with the Queen’s birthday, the company felt it was most appropriate as part of its CSR program to join hands with the Sri Lanka-UK Society (SLUKS) in assisting the Kaveri Kalam Manram Water Project which is a charity project being carried out in the Northern Province. The donation in this regard was handed over to British High Commissioner in Sri Lanka James Dauris at a simple ceremony. 

Dauris and SLUKS President Capt. A.V. Rajendra thanked Trans World Movers for coming forward to assist this worthy cause. 

In the company’s history there has been several special moments amongst them and as per the management one of the most treasured was when they were called upon to pack and move the belongings of Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to Sri Lanka 1981. 

Established in 1973 by the late Anthony Marcellus, the company has today grown to be one of high repute in this sphere of business, living up to its tag line ‘We treat your possessions as if they were our own’.

The company today has the privilege of serving most of the foreign missions in Sri Lanka and in addition also does the moving for many corporates and individuals who move in and out of Sri Lanka.
