Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board delegation in town

The executive members of the Turkey Sri Lanka Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK- Dış Ekonomik İlişkiler Kurulu) of Turkey is in Sri Lanka from 8-11 May to sign a MoU with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce to facilitate trade, investment and tourism between the two countries, and to explore investment opportunities in Sri Lanka. 

The delegation is expected to meet with Minister of Industry and Commerce and Co-Chairman, Sri Lanka-Turkey Joint Economic Commission Rishad Bathiudeen, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of City Planning & Water Supply Rauff Hakeem, Chairman of the BOI Upul Jayasuriya, the President of the Sri Lanka-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Association,  and other senior officials. The delegation will also attend B2B meetings with members of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. 

It represents a number of leading companies based in Turkey and their key areas of interest include aluminium, cement, plastics, tea, textile, and tourism sectors.  The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey is responsible for leading foreign economic relations of the Turkish private sector in a variety of sectors.
