  • Retains its overall position and number one multinational and top FMCG rank

Unilever Sri Lanka was ranked as Lanka Monthly Digest’s fourth most respected business entity in Sri Lanka for the third consecutive year, affirming its strength as a multinational with deep local roots.

Unilever was the highest ranked multinational in this survey and was also the highest ranked Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Company amongst the top 100 corporates. In the all important ‘quality consciousness’ category, Unilever Sri Lanka emerged as number one whilst being ranked third in ‘innovation’, ‘corporate social responsibility’, ‘dynamism’, and ‘management profile’. Unilever was ranked fourth for ‘vision’, whilst its ‘corporate culture’ was ranked fifth in the survey.

The ‘Most Respected Entities in Sri Lanka’ is a survey conceptualised by Lanka Monthly Digest (LMD) – the leading business publication in the country and conducted by the AC Nielsen, which annually ranks the most respected entities in Sri Lanka.

Speaking on this achievement, Unilever Sri Lanka’s Chairman Amal Cabraal stated, “It is truly gratifying to be once again voted among the most respected entities in the country. More so, retaining our position as the number one multinational and the top ranked FMCG company gives us much pride and joy. This is an achievement that speaks volumes about our company’s long standing links with the people of Sri Lanka, confirming that Unilever Sri Lanka is seen as a truly ‘multi-local multinational’.  This is indeed just reward for Team Unilever for its untiring efforts at growing the company whilst strengthening its links with the communities we serve.”
