Union Bank hosts first Branch and Inter-department Quiz

Union Bank of Colombo PLC hosted its first Branch and Inter-department quiz recently with the participation of over 45 teams representing all branches and departments in the bank. The Quiz was organised with the objective of further building knowledge and comradeship amongst staff.

Union Bank’s focus on the SME sector, the bank’s history and products, general knowledge, current affairs, sports and entertainment were the areas addressed in the quiz.

The team representing the strategic planning, development banking and factoring departments was adjudged the 2013 winners of the competition while the runners-up trophy was awarded to the team representing the Legal, Compliance and Risk departments. There were also presentations made for the ‘Best Team Name’ and the ‘Most Colourful and Creatively Dressed’ team. Exciting activities were also organised to encourage audience participation at the event.
