M.T. Upali Mendis has been appointed as a Non Executive Independent Director to the Board of Ascot Holdings PLC.
The 52-year old Mendis is a senior banker with the last position being the Senior Operations Manager, Abu Dhabi Commercial, previously. He had also served as the Head Central Processing Department, Senior Officer, Head Office Operations Division.
His experience include centralisation of branch activities, drafting branch policies and procedures for implementation, preparation of workflow charts and eliminating any duplications, monitoring breach performances, anti money laundering activities, fraud prevention activities.
Following the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of Ascot Holdings PLC comprises of R.A. Iriyagolla (Executive Director/General Manager), N.D. Gunaratne, (Director Finance), D.J. Gunaratne, M.D.A. Weerasooriya, R.M.M.J. Ratnayake (Non-Executive Independent Director), S. Bogollagama (Non-Executive Director) and M.T.U. Mendis (Non-Executive Independent Director).
