In a continued effort to provide the best possible after-sales care to customers, United Tractor and Equipment Ltd. (UTE) has expanded its network to encompass the Southern Province. The new UTE parts outlet and mobile service unit were officially declared open recently at No. 390 A, Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha, Pamburana, Matara. The main objective of this initiative is to provide UTE‘s machine and generator customers easy access to purchase genuine CAT spare parts. The mobile service unit operating from the branch will provide service facilities. The technicians will have the ability to do minor repairs and overhauls to CAT machines operating in the ongoing development projects in the area such as Hambantota Harbour Project Phase 2 as well as the Embilipitiya and Hambantota road development projects. “With rapid developments taking place in the infrastructure sphere of Sri Lanka, organisations that are engaged in construction activities should bring their service facilities closer to their customers and make them more decentralised, in order to support the progress that is taking place throughout the country. These services should go beyond the mere establishment of outlets; but be more comprehensive to provide service solutions, spare parts, technical inputs and customer care that will ensure an uninterrupted service to the customer,” commented UTE Chairman Priath Fernando, speaking at the opening. The new outlet will provide convenient access to customers in areas like Galle, Hambantota and Embilipitiya, allowing them to purchase machine and generator spare parts quickly and conveniently.  The branch will also allow UTE’s service crews to reach machines and generators in the area in a short time, ensuring swift, efficient service, especially with a standby 24-hour service crew equipped to handle minor repairs and overhauls. Staying true to its corporate promise, which is, “The journey continues, long after the sale,” UTE hopes to ensure continuous after- sales service to its valued customers in the southern region.
