Virtusa Corporation, a global IT services company that combines innovation, technology leadership and industry solutions to transform the customer experience, has announced that it was recognised as one of the top three finalists in the 2014 Monster HR award, presented by Monster.
Virtusa was recognised for its innovative use of Monster recruitment technology solutions to help boost its Millennial hiring efforts.
“Being recognised for our progressive millennial recruitment strategies by Monster Technologies is both gratifying and humbling,” said Sundararajan Narayanan, senior vice president and global head of HR, at Virtusa. “To attract the best talent to Virtusa, we place significant emphasis on the recruiting and hiring process. Monster Technologies has helped expand our reach and accelerate our ability to hire millennials and we are thrilled that our innovative use of this technology has been recognised. We look forward to continuing and strengthening our partnership.”
Virtusa is an employee-centric company, comprised of 80% millennials who are techsavvy. Virtusa’s use of Monster technology to recruit and hire top entry-level and talented niche mid-market employees helps it to stay ahead of competitors in the talent war. Monster technology is not only used for searching the database for prospective candidates but is also widely used for its targeted emails. This one-stop-shop helps our hiring managers spend less time finding and hiring talent and more time training them with the necessary technology. The time saved in the hiring process allows millennials, a key employee demographic for Virtusa, to quickly and effectively jump right into their new roles. Additionally, Virtusa’s use of Monster technologies for social and digital hiring campaigns directly reaches millennials where they already are, such as on email, social media and other networking sites. It also helps coordinate our organisation’s presence at job fairs. Additionally, by not worrying about investing time and resources in hiring software, Virtusa is able to spend more time on engaging and retaining millennials once they are hired through gamification, V+, Virtusa’s internal social business platform and digital events such as YamJams.
“We were impressed with how quickly and effectively Virtusa started utilising our technology to make a truly positive impact on their business,” said Jeff Greenler, vice president of Global Brand and Advertising, Monster. “Their use of the technology to attract millennials plays into their overall company landscape, making them a strong addition to the group of finalists.”
Over the past year, Virtusa has been recognised all over the world for its commitment to employee excellence, hiring and HR practices with numerous awards, including the prestigious Stevie Award, Britain’s Top Employer, the Golden Peacock HR Excellence Award, Asia’s Best Employer, Best Places to Work by The Albany Business Review and Achiever’s Top 50 Most Engaged Work Places Award.
