On 12 January, 25 lucky winners were palpably excited as they rode the wave of good fortune at the Rhino Wasana Rella prize presentation ceremony. The unique promotional drive which was held as an island-wide initiative by the leading producer of roofing and ceiling sheets in Sri Lanka, Rhino Roofing products had among its prizes Bajaj Pulsar motorbikes, lounge suites, LED TVs and washing machines, with the winning crown being a Suzuki Swift motorcar, which was won by M. Dayaratne from the Ampara District.

The winners for Rhino Wasana Rella were drawn at the grand draw held just prior to the festive season on 21 December after the culmination of the promotional period, which was from 1 September to 15 December.

Marketing Manager Priyantha Jayasinge explained that customers were most excited to participate in the promotion, given the valuable prizes on offer.  “The competition was open to all our customers who purchased a minimum of Rs. 25,000 worth of Rhino Roofing products including ceiling and Colourup sheets.  We also ensured that when customers bought products over Rs. 25,000, they were given multiple chances to win, using those multiples of Rs. 25,000.  For example, if the purchase was for Rs 100,000, that customer had four chances to enter the draw.”

Rhino registered dealers who partnered with the company to successfully implement the competition, encouraged customers to enter the draw, giving out coupons to those eligible to participate so they could write in their details.

“These registered dealers went a step further in educating customers on the promotion and also being very informative about our products and services, so customers are able to make informed decisions on the use and application of our products. This displays the sustainable strong relationships we have nurtured with our valued business partners.” The input by these dealers was further augmented by a comprehensive cascading promotional campaign that created maximum awareness on the draw.
