WindForce wins Engineering Excellence Award

The Engineering Excellence Awards 2012 was organised at the 106th Annual Session of The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka which is the apex body of the Engineering profession in the country. WindForce (Pvt.) Ltd. was presented with the ‘Engineering Excellence Awards – 2012’ for Organisations, under the category of ‘Infrastructure – Services.’

WindForce is leading the wind power industry in Sri Lanka with 50MWs of wind power plants namely Seguwantivu Wind Power Ltd., Vidatamunai Wind Power Ltd., Nirmalapura Wind Power Ltd., Daily Life Renewable Energy Ltd. and Powergen Lanka Ltd. The plants are located in Mullipuram and Kalpitiya area Puttalam district. 

This was awarded in recognition of the company’s outstanding achievements and accomplishments in engineering by its eminent members for demonstrating professionalism and excellence in initiating the industry of renewable energy generation through wind power.
