Daegu athletics and pickup for business

Given my love for sports and athletics in particular, I closely tracked the much-awaited 2011 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Daegu, South Korea, especially given the negativity that we are engulfed with, with the probable double dip recession that will hit the United States and ramifications the world may have to face, in particular Sri Lanka’s exports sector.

Even though the event struggled to register any record breaking performances in the first few days, given that the authorities had laid a brand new Mondo track dubbed as the magic rug for resistance and elasticity, the games showcased some outstanding performances that proved the power of humanity.
