The lions roaring record

The atmosphere once again was electrifying. I was at the grounds by 3:30 pm for a 4:30 pm kick off. The Royal Sports Complex was a hive of activity and the elite of Colombo were at the venue nice and early. The traffic cops had got their act right for a change and finding adequate parking was a breeze. That was the only breeze in sight as the temperature was 30 degrees Celsius and the humidity at 70% – It felt as if it was 40 plus. The fans did not mind it one bit. Little did we know of the storm that the Lions had in store for us in the hours to follow.
