What is Best Management Practices Company Awards

Best Management Practices Company Awards 2025 is organised by the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka for the 4th time. This award is a platform to recognise and celebrate exemplary management practices across both Public and Corporate sectors.

With a comprehensive production capacity of producing around 8,851 MT of Fabric annually, securing a substantial market share around 40% in Sri Lanka and contributing an annual company turnover of 96 million dollars. Company provides comprehensive solutions that encompass the entire spectrum of fabric production, ranging from design to delivery, the company leads the industry in sustainability, innovation, and ethical practices. Following the acquisition of South Asia Textiles in 2021, Hayleys Fabric is now the largest fabric manufacturer in Sri Lanka. Best Management Practices for the issue aroused

Hayleys Fabric PLC, experienced operational disruptions due to a global drop in demand, leading to reduced production efficiency, increased resource consumption, and higher carbon emissions. In response, the company implemented targeted measures under its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) pillars to address these challenges.

Key Best Management Practices included optimised production scheduling, low-energy dyeing technologies, water recycling systems, and real-time resource monitoring. These actions significantly improved water and energy efficiency, reduced emissions, and aligned the company with the environmental standards of key clients.

The positive outcomes were measured across industry, societal, and economic dimensions—strengthening Hayleys Fabric’s ESG credentials, reducing the strain on local resources, cutting costs, and enhancing competitiveness. To ensure long-term sustainability, the company institutionalized continuous improvement programs, employee training, and investments in automation and AI technologies.
