Ebert Silva Holidays Founder’s Day celebrations with senior citizens of Janadara Elder’s Home

Ebert Silva Holidays and Ebert Silva Foundation celebrated The Founder’s Day in a weeklong series of CSR events to mark the Founder’s Day, the 87th birth anniversary of Ebert Silva, on 2 November. Among them, 60 mothers and fathers of Janadara Elder’s Home in Idama, Moratuwa were treated to a splendid evening. 

A joyful occasion looked forward to eagerly by the senior citizens, the day was filled with songs, music, treats and a rare opportunity to have a joyful ride around the city on an open top bus with live calypso band playing their favourite melodies. The group was excited and delighted to see the new developments of the city and how much it has changed and developed since they saw it last. 

The highlight was a cherished visit to the serene Gangarama Seema Malakaya in the middle of the picturesque Beira Lake, in the heart of Colombo. The group worshipped and prayed to their hearts’ content and returned with memories of a joyful and treasured day.
