FTZMA makes donation to combat pandemic spread and sustain vital healthcare

The Free Trade Zone Manufacturers Association (FTZMA) has donated bed sheets, pillowcases, soap, toothpastes and water bottles to the Health Department in the Gampaha division in assisting COVID-19 patients. 

The donation was made by Chairman Jitendra Biala and Secretary Dhammika Fernando at their Secretariat yesterday to Director/E&OH Gampaha Division Dr. Aruna Palitha Sampath with the patronage of BOI KEPZ Zone Director Sisil Fernando.

FTZMA has been always actively contributing its fair share during calamities and disaster in helping the employee community and this instance also is part of the association’s responsibility to be a good corporate citizen.

FTZMA said it as proud to partner with the national health authorities and has pledged its support to the impacted communities in the surrounding areas of KEPZ, BEPZ, Malwatte Industrial Park, Wathupitiwela Zone and Mirigama Zone, which come under its purview. 

FTZMA as an active member of the COVID Task Force team has continued to pledge its support and commitment with its members to the resilient response initiatives taken by BOI, health authorities and security forces in curbing and combating the spread of the pandemic in all BOI EPZs around the country.
