‘Health is Wealth Day’ awareness campaign at Green Path

‘Health is Wealth Day,’ a social awareness program organised by Lions Club International District 306 A 1, will be held on 8 December at Green Path, Colombo 7. The program will coincide with track and field events accompanied by many entertainment programs. 

A highlight of the event would be the National level 10,000m marathon from Kalutara to Colombo for men’s open category. The women’s open category will be a 5000m marathon from Bambalapitiya to Green Path.  In addition, the organisers have planned a speed walking event for the senior citizens, a Family Fun race and a ‘survivor style’ race for all open age category. Those who are willing to participate in the Marathons need to register by communicating same to Lion Thushantha Perera via 0777788413. 

In addition, the event participants could obtain services of a free eye clinic and BMI calculation while enjoying live music and many food stalls.
