Lanka IOC donates oxygen concentrators to police hospital

Lanka IOC PLC donated two oxygen concentrators required for COVID treatment to the Narahenpita Police Hospital recently as a part of its CSR activity. The Narahenpita Police Hospital is an important healthcare facility operated by the Police Headquarters for the Police staff. 

Majority of the police officers who have been actively involved in their tasks are closely associating with the COVID-infected patients and it had been recorded that 9,497 police officers are infected with the virus and some of them are being treated at the police hospital in Narahenpita. 

Lanka IOC PLC, the only listed and one of the largest private sector companies engaged in marketing of petroleum products, is contributing immensely for the upliftment of society through its CSR initiatives and has always been steadfast in coming forward for discharging obligations towards the community.

Speaking on the occasion, Lanka IOC Managing Director Manoj Gupta said, “We at Lanka IOC recognise the contribution of the Police Force for ensuring our safety and security of society and highly appreciate the extraordinary contribution by the Police Force during the pandemic times. As a responsible corporate citizen, LIOC believes that CSR is not merely about philanthropic activities, making generous contributions to various charitable causes but about being accountable for your actions, to all your stakeholders and operating in a way that ensures long term sustainability.

Serasinghe, Director Police Medical Service Division, RSSP Dr. W.C.C.
