Lanka IOC supports Gothatuwa Maha Vidyalaya to combat COVID-19

Lanka IOC has stepped up its commitment by donating the stainless-steel foot peddle hand wash sinks, digital thermometers, sanitisers, liquid hand wash bottles and KN95 Kids Masks to WP/Jaya/Gothatuwa Maha Vidyalaya at Angoda to ensure good hygiene and at the same time strengthen the preventive measures for COVID-19 infection among school going children.

On the special occasion Lanka IOC PLC Managing Director Manoj Gupta said: “We at Lanka IOC recognise education as one of the main pillars to a nation’s progress and future. Following and practising the COVID protocols and safety guidelines is of paramount importance for everyone.” He also urged the students to spread this message amongst their friends and families.

The school has a total student population of 700 with a staff of 30 and classes are conducted from Grade 1 to 11. The school was selected by Lanka IOC considering that it lacked many basic infrastructure facilities. The Vice Principal Malhari Paranavithan along with school teachers and students extended thanks to Lanka IOC for coming forward and donating the much-needed facilities for the safety of children in the fight against pandemic.

As a part of its ongoing efforts to support the country’s endeavour to mitigate the challenges of the pandemic, recently Lanka IOC came forward in the distribution of 100 Samsung make new smart phones to Ministry of Education, GoSL and very hygienic dry ration stuff to numerous families of Sri Lanka Welfare Society of the Blind Women (SLWSBW).

Lanka IOC is operating with strong fundamentals and always endeavour to connect with society in the various CSR activities by way of unique and effective projects that add value to the society.
