Caring for Sri Lankans and helping communities to forge through during challenging times such as the COVID-19 outbreak, Mobitel, Sri Lanka’s National Mobile Service Provider continued its CSR endeavour by donating 7,500 face masks to two worthy organisations recently.

Mobitel Chief Marketing Officer Sashika Senerath handed 5,000 face masks to the Samastha Lanka Daham Suwanda Foundation which aims to distribute the donated masks among schoolchildren across the island; while 2,500 face masks that were donated to the Colombo Remand Prison will be used for prison guards and inmates to curb the spread of infection as face masks are extremely effective in reducing the spread of the virus.

As the National Mobile Service Provider, Mobitel has assisted many national level initiatives in curbing the spread of the COVID-19. Further, Mobitel and SLT partnered with the Manusath Derana to distribute one million face masks in Sri Lanka. As the caring network, Mobitel is committed to providing numerous innovative solutions to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic thereby helping the corporate sector and the general public to conduct their day-to-day operations in a hassle-free manner.
