NDB donated 30 fingertip pulse oximeters to the Division of Biomedical Engineering Services, MOH. A pulse oximeter is a non-invasive and painless test that measures the patient’s oxygen saturation level/oxygen levels in the blood.

It can rapidly detect even small changes in how efficiently oxygen is being carried to the extremities furthest from the heart, including the legs and the arms. With the current exponential rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, this is a high priority requirement which will save many lives.
