Nawaloka Hospitals PLC illuminated its premises with vibrant hues on 23 May, marking the 10th consecutive year of celebrating Vesak Poya Day. 

The event, organised by Chairman Dr. Jayantha Dharmadasa and dedicated staff, was a testament to the spirit of community and teamwork that defines the hospital. The centrepiece of the celebration was a grand vegetarian rice dansala, where 10,000 dinner packs were distributed to the public, prepared with love and precision under strict hygiene standards.

Dr. Dharmadasa expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support from the community, likening the event to a vibrant tapestry woven with the threads of goodwill and hospitality. He emphasised that the success of the event was due to the collective efforts of the hospital staff, who shone brightly like stars in the night sky. Their dedication and creativity were on full display, transforming the hospital premises into a dazzling Vesak zone.

Despite the extensive preparations for the Vesak celebrations, Nawaloka Hospitals maintained its commitment to patient care by keeping the Emergency Treatment Unit, Pharmacy, and Laboratory open 24 hours. Daily operations continued seamlessly, showcasing the exceptional dedication and hard work of the hospital staff. Their ability to balance these festivities with their professional responsibilities highlighted their remarkable commitment.

The celebrations were further enriched by the melodious presentation of Vesak Bakthi Gee (devotional songs), which resonated through the air like a gentle breeze, bringing peace and joy to all attendees.
