People’s Bank donates medical equipment to Sirimavo Bandaranaike Hospital

People’s Bank Officers’ Association, as part of the bank’s ongoing social responsibility initiatives to mark the 60th Anniversary of People’s Bank, donated medical equipment to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Specialised Children’s Hospital (SBSCH) in Peradeniya.

People’s Bank Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Ranjith Kodituwakku, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Specialised Children’s Hospital COVID Unit Head and Paediatric Respiratory Disease Specialist Dr. Aruna Herath, Hospital Director Dr. Sarath Weerabandara, Dr. Sumith Munaweera, Channel Management Deputy General Manager Mahinda Premanath, Head of Marketing Nalaka Wijayawardana, Regional Manager - Kandy Buddhika Ranatungage, Peradeniya Branch Manager K.M.P.P. Kulatunga, and all of People’s Bank, together with the hospital staff, participated in the event.

As part of the ongoing series of social responsibility activities organised to celebrate People’s Bank’s 60th Anniversary, earlier this year, two portable ultrasound scanners were also donated to the COVID-19 ICUs of the National Hospitals in Colombo and Kandy.
