Aligning with the spirit of Vesak, SLT-Mobitel and eChanneling together with the Nawaloka Hospitals Group successfully organised a community health camp titled ‘Sabadiyawe Dhahami Sathkaraya Suwa Sahana Health Camp’ recently uplifting the wellbeing of communities in the Ratmalana and Moratuwa areas.

The camp provided an invaluable opportunity for residents of these areas, especially the elderly, to benefit from free blood and diabetes testing, free electrocardiogram (ECGs), eye check-ups, and free spectacles. Qualified medical professionals were also present to offer consultations including advice and sessions on nutrition.

The health camp drew an overwhelming response from the community, with hundreds of individuals benefiting from the free medical services offered. The screenings enabled residents who participated to receive expert guidance while SLT-Mobitel promoted overall wellness in the community. Maliban Biscuits and ‘Parampara’ Traditional Incense also partnered with SLT-Mobitel in this noble initiative.

For citizens who were unable to participate in the Health Camp, SLT-Mobitel facilitated digital access through eChanneling and offered two-weeks of free online medical consultations via the eChanneling platform, beginning from the 19th of May 2024. The convenient virtual service will support individuals to seek professional medical guidance from the comfort of their homes.

SLT General Manager – Marketing Services Anuruddha Suriarachchi, Mobitel Chief Commercial Officer Isuru Dissanayake, eChannelling Head of Business Development Mohan Ajitkumar, SLT Deputy General Manager Provincial Operations – Metro 02 Lidira Guruge, Nawlaoka Hospitals Head of Marketing Rasika Thilakarathne, and several other officials from SLT-Mobitel participated the event.
