“Our elders cared for us throughout their lives, as have trees, both giving life to us all.” This was the praiseworthy concept that laid the foundation for the launch of the Green Eco Project and Medical Camp organised by Surado Campus of Business Management which was held recently at the Kurunegala Municipal Council premises.
Surado Campus of Business Management – one of Sri Lanka’s foremost privately-led vocational training institutions for local and foreign employment – recently introduced its two key CSR projects for the year 2021 at a small gathering held at the Kurunegala Municipal council, in accordance with the prevailing health regulations.
At the gathering, the campus announced its ongoing Surado Green – Eco project which aims to develop the campus into an eco-friendly institute and premises, in line with the government’s environment protection initiatives geared to implement the paperless concept at institutes.
In keeping with the institute’s expertise and deep engagement in healthcare education and training, the Surado Medical Camp facilitated medical checkups and raised awareness and provided training on personal protection techniques to safeguard oneself and others from the COVID-19 virus to all those who participated.
“As a responsible educational institute, we believe that it is our duty to engage with the community, and promote progressive concepts such as attempts to reduce our carbon footprint. The two CSR projects that we initiated are part and parcel of our conscious decision to grow not only in terms of an education institute but also as a progressive force for greater good,” commented Chairman P. S. Rachitha Buddhika.
Surado Campus has been a robust institute that identifies skill gaps and map future talent needs on a global level to create a highly compatible talent pool locally. The institute has earned a well-deserved reputation as an organisation that provides high quality, curated training to Sri Lankans to compete well and thrive in the international employment arena. Over the years, the institute won a number of national and international awards in recognition of its excellence in providing education and training.
Established in 2012, Surado Campus is deemed a leading institute in Healthcare, and a fully-recognised vocational Institute for Skills Development under Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) as well as the Private Health Services Regulatory Commission (PHSRC) of Sri Lanka.
The institute holds accreditation for Quality Management System from the TVEC. It has a wide network of partnerships with highly reputed Awarding bodies, with globally accepted UK, US, Australian and Malaysian qualifications in Healthcare, mainly in Caregiving. Surado qualified caregivers have gained highly lucrative job opportunities in countries such as Canada, France, Denmark, Japan, Australia, Germany, and Italy.
