Sri Lanka’s No. 1 herbal soap brand Swadeshi Khomba, recently launched its latest CSR project “Swadeshi Khomba Gamata Sathkaraya” program to donate essential needs to the rural villages of Sri Lanka. A project that will make an important contribution to improving the lifestyle of people in rural villages.

As its first project of the “Swadeshi Khomba Gamata Sathkaraya” program, Swadeshi Khomba donated a clean water facility to Weerahela Junior School, located in Kohomba-gaha-pellessa, Tissamaharama, in the Hambantota district. This will enable schoolchildren to have access to clean drinking water, which has been a pressing issue in rural communities in Sri Lanka.

Speaking about the project, Swadeshi Chairperson Amari Wijewardene said: “We truly believe that as a local company, we should help our future generations in Sri Lanka improve their lifestyle and create a healthier and happier new generation.”

Weerahela Junior School Principal said: “We appreciate this initiative by Swadeshi Khomba. Projects like this are invaluable in safeguarding our children and ensuring a healthier future generation.”

Nature’s miracle ingredient, Khomba, delivers herbal goodness and medicinal properties while also purifying the air. The choice of ingredient is also close to the company’s heart, as one of its flagship brands, Khomba Original Herbal, features margosa (kohomba) oil as its primary ingredient.

Swadeshi Khomba herbal soap has the distinction of being the consistent leader in the herbal segment since its launch in 1943. It is renowned for its mild yet deep cleansing properties, which enhance natural beauty and provide natural protection. Swadeshi Khomba herbal soap is internationally dermatologically tested for mildness on the skin.

As a local company, Swadeshi continues its nation-building and community CSR projects for Sri Lankan communities. The Swadeshi Khomba brand is dedicated to carrying out sustainability projects that focus on caring for Mother Nature. This current effort is just one of the company’s many community outreach initiatives, which also include the annual sponsorship of the ‘Aloka Poojawa’ at several historical places of worship around the island, under the theme of ‘Swadeshi Khomba Aloka Puja Sathkaraya,’ as well as the ‘Swadeshi Khomba Mihithala Sathkaraya’ Kohomba tree planting campaigns, the donation of water tanks to communities, schools, and temples in the dry zones of Sri Lanka, and Swadeshi Khomba baby care gifts for pregnant mothers.
