The Young Chartered Accountants Forum (YCAF) recently launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project dedicated to bringing joy and a sense of normalcy to brave paediatric cancer patients at the Indira Cancer Trust.

The team rallied to raise money to provide medical support for paediatric cancer patients.

These combined efforts resulted in raising Rs. 4 million for the kids, showcasing the power of collective action. A substantial amount of funds, Rs. 1 million, was donated by the CA Sri Lanka UAE Chapter. The CA Sri Lanka Kuwait and Canada Chapters also contributed to this worthy cause. These funds will be used to provide medicine for children in need of cancer treatment.

The fundraising culminated in a special evening spent with the children at the Suwa Arana which transformed the place into a space filled with wonder and laughter. A professional magician entertained the children with a captivating magic show, leaving them mesmerised and delighted.

Following the show, a craft session was held where members volunteered to assist the children in creating colourful artwork and fun crafts.

At the end of the program, YCAF distributed gifts to the children, sponsored by Unilever Sri Lanka Ltd., Hemas Manufacturing Ltd., Lakpa Footwear Ltd., and a few generous individuals.
