AAI facilitates the productivity and quality Improvement programme of Colombo South Teaching Hospita

“The Productivity and Quality Improvement Programme” was launched by the Colombo South Teaching Hospital (CSTH), partnered by Asian Alliance Insurance PLC, with the objective of enhancing the service levels rendered to the patients by developing a quality centered work environment within the hospital. The programme was inaugurated in January 2010.

This programme, implemented through work improvement teams, spreads over a period of two years. A Quality Assurance Department is implemented to monitor and evaluate the functions of the programme. The authorities are of the view that this pioneering programme enables educating and creating awareness on basic concepts of productivity and quality among the hospital’s stakeholders including employees. Continuing its efforts of assisting the Quality and Productivity Improvement Programme, AAI recently gifted a photocopy machine and medicine carts to CSTH. Speaking on the occasion, Nadi Dharmasiri, Assistant General Manager - Marketing of Asian Alliance Insurance stated, “Asian Alliance Insurance is privileged to partner this programme. We are confident that this programme will uplift the standards of healthcare to the public and this programme will be an inspiration to the other state sector hospitals to serve the nation better”. Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Director – Colombo South Teaching Hospital, expressed his gratitude to Asian Alliance Insurance in making this programme a reality. He stressed that the main objective of the programme was to uplift the standards of the hospital processes by merging modern management techniques & capabilities of the medical profession, which is world class.
