Abans marked Father’s Day in a unique way this year by conducting a very meaningful CSR project at the Gamini Matha Home for Elders at Sir James Pieris Mawatha, Colombo 2.

Around 50 elderly men in the home were treated to a scrumptious lunch of rice and a wide variety of curries with desserts to follow. The meal consisted of healthy food especially suitable for elders. The cooking process was carefully supervised and assisted by the staff of ABS Gardner Dixon Hall International Ltd., the in-house advertising agency of the Abans Group.

The event started off with the inmates of the home conducting a prayer session, in the shrine room of the home, with the organisers, to invoke the blessings of the triple gem. Immediately after the prayer session the inmates proceeded to the dining hall where the staff of Abans Advertising Department lined up behind the buffet table ready to serve the inmates.

After a wholesome meal that was enjoyed and appreciated, gifts were distributed to all the inmates. Abans also presented electronic cooking appliances to the home.

Abans conduct meaningful CSR projects from time to time to observe important events and whenever there is a need or a natural disaster in the country; Abans are in the forefront to spontaneously rally round with aid and assistance.
