Admirable humane gesture by Kanrich Finance

Sacrificing his own life, Saman Kumara saved the life of a child hit by a train at the Ragama Railway Station recently. This humane gesture resulted in him in losing both his legs.

Kanrich Finance promptly stepped in to help this heroic victim, who put his own life at stake, to save the life of an innocent child and decided to support the victim’s daughter, in helping her education up to university level.

As been reported by the media, the Board of Directors of Kanrich Finance has decided to extend assistance to this helpless daughter. The people of this country now regard Kanrich Finance as an institution that occupies the forefront in recognising humane needs and fulfilling those going well beyond their business objectives, as an indigenous financial institute.

While presenting the cheque of patronage to Mr. and Mrs. Saman Kumara, it was stated that Saman Kumara’s kind gesture was a noble sacrifice for the whole of humanity. Speaking on this occasion, Kumara stated: “Being able to rescue a child of the same age-group as my own daughter was of greater importance to me than risking my own life.” 

“I still regret that I was not able to save the child’s mother. I am immensely pleased that Kanrich Finance has come forward to look after the future of my child’s education, especially at a time as such since I am fully disabled and have become incapable of doing my job,” he further stated.  

Both General Manager Eranda Amal Godage and Kanrich Finance Chief Manager Gampaha Region Dimuthu Perera were present during the time of presenting the cheque.

Kanrich Finance that has won the trust of the Sri Lankan finance field is a finance company registered with the Central Bank and has been continuing business activities over a period of more than four decades.
