Amana Bank empowers health camp

Amana Bank extended its generous support to the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM), which together with the Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital (NFTH) organised a free health camp for the community in Malabe recently at the NFTH premises. During the health camp the organisers conducted comprehensive medical tests such as full body checkups, blood sugar and blood pressure monitoring, consultation and provided free pharmaceuticals and spectacles. The medical camp witnessed over 5,000 patients benefiting from the free services offered which was provided by more than 55 practicing doctors and final year students of the institute. Amana Bank’s VP – Consumer Banking and Strategic Marketing said: “We are delighted to be a part of this health camp as one of our key areas of focus for CSR is towards improving the health and well-being among the general public. The outstanding response received for the health camp reflects the success of this noble endeavour.” Dr. SameeraSenaratne, Director Faculty of Medicine, said: “The efforts taken by Amana Bank are absolutely commendable and we are thankful from the bottom of our hearts for their generosity, commitment to this mission and their trust in us.”
