Bentota Beach Hotel helps fight dengue

In line with their commitment to the betterment of the society, Bentota Beach Hotel a landmark hotel in down south participated in a dengue awareness campaign recently. This was in collaboration with the Public Health Inspector, Grama Niladhari and the Bentota Police Station.



It is evident that the dengue menace is a pressing issue that has been affecting the entire island. Bentota Beach Hotel partook on a campaign to identify and eradicate mosquito breeding places. The local community was educated on how to keep their surroundings clean with the objective of prevention is better than cure.

Aiding the program, leaflets were printed and distributed amongst the neighbourhood. The campaign kicked off in front of the Bentota police station and covered the entire town.

Five employees of Bentota Beach hotel together with the authorities and general public were part of the project which was a success.

This project upholds the pledge ‘I Will Care,’ whereby the resort aimed to educate the general public on contemporary issues that concern health and safety.
