Bentota Beach Hotel renovates Bentota temple in lieu of Binara full moon

In view of Vesak full moon Poya day, the staff of Bentota Beach Hotel took the initiative to renovate and redecorate the surroundings of the Bentota Bodhi area. The management and staff of the hotel laid concrete slabs around the Bo-Maluwa, colour washed the wall, lit upand decorated the surrounding area of the Bodhi with Buddhist flags.

The hotel staff also extended their services with a Bodhi Pooja, which included a Hevisi Pooja and recital of BakthiGeetha.

The success of the causes undertaken by the hotelinstils a greater sense of social responsibility and boosts the moral of the staff immensely,” said Sanjeeva Perera, General Manger of Bentota Beach Hotel.

In addition to the above, Bentota Beach Hotel initiated the formation of the Bodhi ‘Wahalkada’, designed similar to the entrance gate to ‘Sanchi Stupa’ built in the 3rd Century BC, in India. The sculpture artist, Chamila Kottahachchi, elaborately engraved the design whilstthe maintenance team of the hotel illuminated the ‘Wahalkada,’ creating better attraction during dusk.
