Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation organised World Children’s Day Programme at the Rupavahini premises. D.S. Senanayake College, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya and Vishaka Vidayalaya bands performed at the ceremony. The book ‘Parissamen Gihin Enna’ by Karuna Perera was launched and the first copy was presented to SLRC Chairman Ravi Jayawardena. There was an art competition, dance, drama and many more various colourful events. Director General Prof. M. Sunil Shantha, Director and Head of the Educational Programme Erin Wijekoon and Asst. Director of the Children’s Programme Padmasiri Fernando were also present.
