Clogard rewards Sri Lankan families who pledge for a cavity-free Sri Lanka

One such unique campaign recently concluded on a successful note strived towards improving families’ consciousness on adopting good oral hygiene practices helping to better the nation’s oral health-care habits. Clogard sought to raise awareness focusing on educating and encouraging Sri Lankan families to be cavity free. Participating families were rewarded with attractive grand prizes including cash and other gifts. The primary mission of the national campaign was to motivate families encouraging them to take the pledge of a ‘cavity-free future’ thus controlling their own oral health. Best practices of brushing twice daily with fluoridated toothpaste were demonstrated and families encouraged to apply this to their daily oral health regime. Exemplifying their commitment in raising awareness, the Clogard team traversed across the island visiting over 150 locations. An impressive 200,000 plus families enthusiastically pledged towards Clogard’s cavity prevention cause. “We are extremely pleased with the overall impact of our campaign. Many dental problems can be avoided through simple changes in oral care habits of brushing twice a day with a fluoridated toothpaste like Clogard. During the campaign, participating families and housewives who pledged to contribute to build a cavity free Sri Lanka were rewarded with valuable prizes. A draw was held among the participants where, One Grand prize winner was selected consecutively for three months and received Rs. One Million each. Winners from Kegalle, Deniyaya and Ganemulla were among the lucky entries who received the fixed deposit worth Rs. 1 million. Other impressive prizes distributed included 12 refrigerators, nine laptops, mountain bicycle, bags and wrist watches. “As a parent, the Clogard cavity prevention campaign has been of great help.” said Ridmi Oshadee’s mother from Ganemulla. “The awareness program has helped us teach our families a lifetime of healthy oral care habits.” Building on the momentum the cavity prevention campaign has generated, Clogard plans to continue through varied activities in the future steadfast in their goal to build a cavity free Sri Lanka.
